Creador Revenue Share 2022-2023

In January 2024 Creador reached a milestone, one set during the formation of the project - to be able to pay a portion of profits revenue to the producers.

Creador Agave Spirits is a project committed to importing and sharing unique and delicious agave spirits. In addition to our commitment to paying fair prices, Creador is pleased to be able to redistribute 10% of revenue to producer José Alberto Pablo. The original intent was to pay a portion of profits. The reality for this small, independent company is that starting up carries significant costs, and net profits, after all start up costs are paid, can be a ways off. However, there is revenue, and a shift to focus on sharing revenue, portioning out startup costs over time, allows for a share of cashflow ahead of schedule.

The revenue share contributes to several aspects of the project. José Alberto has made significant improvements to the palenque, for example the build of a retaining wall, and the purchase of new clay pots. A dirt courtyard between his home and the palenque has been beautifully paved. Proceeds from the business have also allowed for Jose Alberto to employ workers from the community. Finally José Alberto has purchased and planted around 10,000 young agave, as well as install a new water tank, both of which are efforts towards maintaining and instilling sustainable practices that preserve resources.

(“Yes, the truth is that part of the money you pay for mezcal is what I use to improve the palenque and my house has helped a lot. It is also true that I try to help the employees like you do with us, their weekly fees and also a little better pay.

I think the important thing is to help each other.
— Jose Alberto Pablo

This first distribution is for the timeframe starting June of 2022 (when Creador first became available in the market) until the end of the 2023 calendar year, and verifies that José Alberto Pablo received 10% of revenue, after a portion of start up costs, and expenses.
